Available to listen to below is something of a minor classic of World War I.

I Don't Want To Get Well tells the story of a wounded hero who doesn't wish to leave his "beautiful nurse" and the pampered attention she lavished on him.  The song, published in 1917, was written by Harry Jentes (music), Harry Pease and Howard Johnson (lyrics).

"ANZAC" was coined in 1915 from the initials of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps.
